Frequently Asked Questions
Which details determine the slicing matrix configuration?
Identify brain or heart tissue, animal model, specimen dimensions, cutting orientation and required slot pitch. Coronal and sagittal brain designs are listed, but the cavity and pitch must be checked for the selected model.
Does the listed slot pitch guarantee the finished tissue thickness?
The 0.5 mm and 1.0 mm values describe guide-channel pitch options. They do not by themselves guarantee a finished tissue thickness; confirm the blade, specimen fit and laboratory procedure for the intended sectioning workflow.
Can a nonstandard cavity or channel layout be reviewed?
A research-project request can be reviewed from specimen dimensions or a drawing. Include the material requirement, cutting plane and slot pitch so the proposed configuration can be checked before quotation.
