MOEA Announces Approval of CHEMEX’s Taiwan Investment Plan

On April 2, 2026, Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) announced that CHEMEX’s plan to expand its investment in Taiwan had passed the InvesTaiwan review meeting under the SME accelerated investment program. CHEMEX plans to build a new plant in Tainan’s Xinji Industrial Park, continuing its commitment to manufacturing in Taiwan.

The announcement describes CHEMEX’s work in precision molds and plastic injection products, including histology and laboratory consumables such as tissue embedding cassettes, base molds and sectioning matrices. CHEMEX also provides profile grinding solutions, with its products and services serving primarily export markets.

Starting with customers’ ideas and requirements, CHEMEX combines product design, mold development and manufacturing experience to put ‘Brings Ideas to Life’ into practice for customers around the world.

Under CHEMEX’s current schedule, the Xinji plant is expected to start production in 2028. This timing is supplementary information from the company. The image below is an architectural concept rendering.
